Vicki Gunvalson's mother has passed away.

After receiving the devastating news of her mother's death, the Real Housewives of Orange County star took to social media, where she expressed her grief to fans.

"Tonight I received a phone call that is every person's worst nightmare," Gunvalson wrote on Instagram in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday. "My amazing, beautiful and strong mother passed on and is now with the love of her life my father in heaven."

Gunvalson has been a fan favorite for years on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Orange County, and is currently the longest running housewife of all time.

"I am who I am today, because of her," Gunvalson continued in her message to fans. "An amazing cook, organized, bold personality and had a sense of style and fashion that I adored. I miss you so much mommy! My life will never be the same without you to give me advice and your wisdom. You were so healthy and so vibrant and so beautiful. I still need you. I love you MOM."

Gunvalson and the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County have been filming the show's upcoming 10th season for the last several weeks. During season 10, fans will be reunited with Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, Shannon Beador, Lizzie Rovsek and Heather Dubrow, and will also meet two new wives, Katie Hamilton and Meghan King Edmonds.

No premiere date for season 10 has yet been set.
