Oprah Winfrey is going back in time.

The television legend has been busy on the set of director Lee Daniels' "The Butler," Winfrey's return to acting, and she's kept fans in the loop through her Twitter account.

The film tells the tale of Eugene Allen, a real-life White House butler who developed relationships with eight presidents from 1952 to 1986. Winfrey will play Allen's wife in the film, which also stars Forest Whitaker, Jane Fonda and Mariah Carey.

The movie spans several decades, which means Winfrey and the rest of the cast will look quite different as they age throughout the film. Oprah posted a photo of herself in a bright, bold tangerine dress with a sleek updo, which she wears for the 1950s portion of the film, along with "The Butler's" costume designer.

"Costume designer Ruth Carter working that 1957. #theButler," Winfrey tweeted with the photo.

Another shot pictured a 1950s-clad Winfrey with director Daniels as she wore her hair high along with a purple blouse.

"Can u say 1957? Happy Super Soul Sunday. On set all day #thebutler," Winfrey wrote.

But Oprah hasn't only offered fans a look at the 1950s portion of the film. She was also aged with prosthetics to look like an older woman during the 1980s, and she shared photos of herself in a extravagantly beaded dress perfect for that decade.

"Lenny Kravitz and me (both aged) getting ready for our 80's White House scene," Winfrey tweeted with the picture.
