In order to better prepare himself from acting out in another rage, former NFL star Chad Johnson stated that he has enrolled himself in anger management classes.  He had been incarcerated on Aug. 11 for head-butting his then wife Evelyn Lozada during an argument that occured in his vehicle.

During a recent interview with James Brown of "Inside the NFL," the 34-year-old revealed the anger management therapy news.

"I'm trying to find out how can I channel my anger when I'm in situations to where I would pop off."

The sit-down will air Wednesday night on the Showtime network. Johnson admits that he was at fault in the domestic violence incident involving his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada and is now ready to work on himself.

"I think what I need to do is work on Chad."

However, the former football star is no stranger to anger management, as he was ordered to attend a domestic violence program in 2000 after striking a former girlfriend.

Rage issues aside, he feels as though the Miami Dolphins cutting him was completely based on the domestic occurrence alone and had nothing to due with his performance on the field.

"That was the reason ... there's no need to blow smoke up my a**."

Johnson is now officially single again after a judge approved his divorce from Lozada on Sept. 19, which he unsuccessfully attempted to prevent.  He said that he is no longer communicating with the reality star.

"There's nothing I can say to her because she's already heard it all ... what can I say ... actions speak louder than words and this is the time for me to show action."

Lozada had wasted no time responding to the highly-publicized Aug. 11 incident, as she filed a divorce just days later on Aug. 14 at the Broward County Courthouse in Florida.  She also released the following statement, according to TMZ:

"I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me, it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles."
