'Real Housewives of Orange County': Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers Break Up? Tamra Barney Attacks Couple on Twitter

Looks like "The Real Housewives of Orange County" can't keep their personal lives private even when the cameras aren't rolling.

Brooks Ayers, Vicki Gunvalson's boyfriend, was making some mopey statements on Twitter and fellow "Housewives" star Tamra Barney decided to take a jab at him. When the Twitter comments kept going back and forth, Gunvalson admitted her and Ayers were taking time apart from one another.

On Sept. 14, Ayers wrote, "'If a relationship has to be a secret, then you shouldn't be in it. Just saying...."

A day later he tweeted, "I'm not a perfect person, I make a lot of mistakes but still I love those people who stay with me after knowing how I really am. #loyalty."

He also fielded rude comments from other Twitter followers. One follower commented that he drives Gunvalson's cars while another one commented, "and lets not forget, spend her money,her good name, and fame for ones own personal gain.What a Man."

In a Sept. 17 post, Ayers tweeted, ""I choose not to post a lot of pics of my family time with my kids as to respect their privacy! #getalife #noclue"

Ayers caused a rift between former best friends Gunvalson and Barney. Barney believes he is using Gunvalson for her success and wealth.

Never one to mince her words, Barney got in on the coversation, saying, "I hear Brooks is throwing down some mean comments on twitter cuz he got dumped......boy did I call that move!"

Ayers responded, @TamraBarney Stupid and you aren't even "in the loop". #getalife #payattentiontoyourownbusiness"

Barney then tweeted, "is he busy talking about me again?"

On Sept. 23, Gunvalson tweeted at Barney, "Please don't be disrespectful to Brooks. He is a good man."

She continued tweeting at Barney, saying, "Wow! That is very rude. I've never not been wise about being with brooks ... I don't know what everyone is talking about but I didn't dump Brooks. We are both taking time for ourselves right now."

In a comment regarding Barney, Gunvalson wrote, "She just can't seem to be pleasant."

Around the same time as these thread of comments, Gunvalson posted some suspicious tweets about relationships: "Love is giving someone the power to destroy you...but trusting them not to" and "A relationship is like a house. When a lightbulb burns out you do not go and buy a new house, you fix the light bulb."
