American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson recently admitted that she almost spilled the beans on the casting of Lady Gaga for season 5.

Paulson appeared at the Family Equality Council Gala in Beverly Hills on Saturday where she revealed that she was close to revealing the big secret of Gaga's casting.

"I think nothing in the world could be more exciting. Really ... it's Lady F---ing Gaga! I mean, come on. It's amazing," she said, according to Vulture.

She added that American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy had told her that Gaga was being cast but she was able to keep it secret, difficult as it may have been.

"I had a bit of an inkling, because the man told me, but I kept it a secret." Paulson said, adding, "I finally said to him the other day, 'If you don't announce this soon, I'm going to bust. I'm going to say something!' And he was like, 'You can't.' And I was like, 'Well, I'm going to. So get on it.' And then they have. And it was all because I made them. Not really."

As far as her own status in season 5 of American Horror Story, Paulson suggested that things were still up in the air.

"I just feel like letting Ryan know that I am available, if he wants me," she said.

It seems likely that Murphy would want Paulson back considering they are losing Jessica Lange next season. The idea of losing both Lange and Paulson would almost be too much for many audience members.

American Horror Story: Hotel is slated to air in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
