Supernatural's Dean Winchester is itching to get back on the road in "The Things They Carried."

'Supernatural' Actor Jared Padalecki To Reunite With 'Gilmore Girls' Stars, Booked For Austin TV Panel

Sam (Jared Padalecki), however, is worried that it's less Dean (Jensen Ackles) and more the Mark of Cain that's itching to flee the bunker. Fresh off his fight with Cain, Dean appears normal, but the younger Winchester knows that all is not well the elder hunter (see video here).

But hunters are what they are, and a hunting they will go. Despite Sam's reservations, the brothers will take off after some Khan worms when the series returns to The CW on March 18. It looks like the season 6 baddies will be affecting soldiers, hence the title, and Cole (Travis Aaron Wade) will quickly become entangled in the case.

Meanwhile, Sam will continue to monitor Dean's precarious situation.

"You know, in just a couple of years Sam has gone through some pretty seismic changes in terms of how he views himself in the world. At the end of season eight, he was at a point where his life was not worth losing the life of others; at the end of [season nine], he went as far to agree that Dean's life was worth sacrificing for a greater good [too]," executive producer Jeremy Carver explained to The Hollywood Reporter. "And we're going to see Sam confront these very questions anew as he sees Dean staring down the Mark. And so, you're going to see Sam questioning all over again how far he's willing to go on behalf of his brother."

Should Dean really be out fighting, or should the seasoned hunter stay sheltered in the Men of Letters' library until there is a cure for the Mark? Sound off in the poll below!
