On Tuesday, Just Jared announced that the former child stars attended the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards Announcement Party in New York this week where they found out that they've been nominated for an award. The girls are being considered for Womenswear Designer of the Year going up against Joseph Altuzarra, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, and Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough.

This sounds like a pretty tough competition, but whatever happens with the award, the girls ought to be proud, nonetheless. When they showed up to the event, they were spotted wearing long coats and boots looking chic and classy.

The award ceremony will take place on Monday, June 1.

Mary-Kate and Ashley took their talent in the fashion world after being known as child actresses from the popular TV series Full House as well as a number of films.

In a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, actress Dakota Fanning made an appearance where a caller asked which one of the twins she's closer with. As it turns out, Fanning's friendship is mostly with the twins' younger sister, Elizabeth.

"Their younger sister Lizzie is who I know the best," the actress said, posted on Us Weekly. "We went to the same high school, we have a lot of mutual friends, and we did a film together [Very Good Girls]."
