It looks like love has found Lisa Niemi once more.

The windowed wife of actor Patrick Swayze is trying to move on with her love life.

According to People Magazine, 56-year old Niemi started dating Albert DePrisco after her birthday.

A representative for Niemi told People, "It's new, and they're taking it slow."

DePrisco, a jeweler, and Niemi were brought together by a mutual friend. For now it seems like things are looking up for the new couple.

Niemi was married to Patrick Swayze for 34 years. She stayed close with her husband who passed away in September 2009 after being diagnosed with cancer. Niemi showed her love for her late husband by posing with Swayze's wax sculpture when it was unveiled last year. The sculpture was made for Madame Tussauds wax museum in Hollywood and shows Swayze in a dance pose from his hit movie "Dirty Dancing."

She was grateful for the statue which gave people a new way of remembering her husband's memory. She commented at the event, "It became clear to me that someone had put a lot of love into this, for a man I loved so very much."

It has been a tough few years since Swayze passed away. In 2010 she told People: "I know I'm stronger now. The fact that I've had some good days definitely gives me hope that I can have more."

Niemi has become a spokeswoman for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network since her husband's death. On the one year anniversary of Swayze's death, she promoted an awareness campaign called "Be a Hero in the Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer: Know it. Fight it. End it."

"It's a merciless disease," she said at the Pancreatic Cancer event. "If Patrick being sick can help somebody else, it's the highest possible honor I could help him have."
