The finale, which is titled "My Brother's Keeper," is already being touted as far more upsetting than Dean's (Jensen Ackles) season 9 demon transformation and Jared Padalecki confirmed the rumors while speaking at Seattle's Salute to Supernatural.

"We are filming the final arc of season 10 right now and it's one of those really intense final arcs, I mean it's probably the most intense I can remember since like season five or something like that," Padalecki said on Sunday, referencing the build up to 2010's "Swan Song."

Scheduling issues currently have The CW series filming out of order, allowing them to start filming the finale on Monday despite skipping episode 21 ("Dark Dynasty").

"These final episodes are very traumatic," Padalecki cautioned.

While fans anticipate whatever dark fate awaits the Winchester brothers and Castiel in the May 20 episode, Supernatural will air "Inside Man," "Book of the Damned," "The Werther Project," "Angel Heart," "Dark Dynasty," and "The Prisoner."
