Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman have separated, leaving behind one of the longest marriages in Hollywood history.

Now the reason behind the split may be revealed.

According to RadarOnline, Pelman had finally had enough of DeVito's flirtacious behavior with other women.

"He may not appear to be a ladies' man, but Danny certainly gets a lot of female attention," claimed a source for RadarOnline. "Danny can be quite the flirt and because of his powerful status in Hollywood, he's not ashamed to abuse his position and chat-up young, aspiring women looking to make it in the industry."

The source went on to say that, "After years of turning a blind eye to it, Rhea finally snapped."

Stan Rosenfeld, a representative for 67-year-old DeVito, told ABC News that the actor and the 64-year old actress Perlman have ended their 30 year marriage.

"The break-up has been on the cards for a long time, probably over 10 years, because they haven't been happy for a long, long time," said RadarOnline's source.

Together the couple have two daughters and a son: Lucy, 29, Grace, 27, and Jacob, 24.

DeVito and Perlman had been seen as a strong couple in Hollywood since they first got together. The couple met in 1970 and moved in together after only two weeks. They've been married since January 1982.

They have long been put in cynical roles and have starred together on the television show "Taxi" as well as dual hosts on "Saturday Night Live" in 1983.

The couple created Jersey Films, which has produced "Pulp Fiction" and "Erin Brockovich."

Perlman is most famous for her role on the classic sitcom "Cheers." DeVito can currently be seen on FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" which debuts its eight season on Oct. 11.
