Cibrian was to join Hollywood actress Monica Potter on an untitled project. According to Variety back in March, Cibrian would have joined Donald Faison, Josh Hopkins and Rory Scovel in the new show. All three men were to play Potter's ex-husbands. The sitcom was supposed to revolve around her relationships with each ex - who she also shares children with - and her new boyfriend.

Cibrian was to play play the first ex-husband, who was described as a "slick professional gambler" who is still rather territorial even after their divorce.

According to the Music Times on Friday though, the project got shelved. After a recent table read, it was mutually agreed to put the project on hold after they felt it didn't have enough potential. There is hope though that network bosses may redevelop it next season.

Cibrian has been struggling to find stable work since he married Rimes back in 2011. The couple allegedly had an affair back in 2009 while they were still married to other people, including ex spouses Brandi Glanville and Dean Sheremet.

So far, Cibrian has not made any comments about the show's cancellation.
