A European branch of Microsoft let out a big announcement for the next Office suite.

Petr Bobek, a product manager for Microsoft, confirmed the news that Office 2013 will be available for Apple's iOS and Android operating systems. The announcement was made at press conference held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Czech Republic, according to Slash Gear.

The Czech Republic branch of Microsoft said in a press release that other devices getting Office 2013 include the Windows Phone, Windows RT and Symbian.

The arrival for the latest suite from Microsoft is expected for full release to the public next year, with Microsoft stating,"Office 365 services and other Office products for mobile (phones and tablets) will be released from March 2013."  According to the press release, businesses will be able to start using the suite in December and other consumers will get their hands on it a few months later.

Zdnet.com reported that users with the current Office 365 will be able to update their app at the end of October. An official from Microsoft added, "We update Office 365 with new capabilities on quarterly basis and sometimes more frequently. This is part of our regular cadence of updates."

U.S. representatives for Microsoft haven't officially announced Office 2013 availability for mobile devices, however, according to CNET, Microsoft told them "Office Mobile will work across Windows Phones, Android phones and iOS, and we have nothing additional to announce today about retail availability of the new Office."

Rumors about Microsoft's apps for Apple have persisted since May.

Mobile Microsoft users are also looking forward to a possible early release for the new HTC smartphones. Pre-orders are rumored to begin Oct. 21 for the HTC 8X, Nokia's Lumia 920, Samsung's Ativ Smart PC and the Asus Vivo Tab RT.
