Once Upon a Time standout Victoria Smurfit recently spoke about her character Cruella de Vil and what she thinks her happy ending will be.

Emma & Regina Team Up To Rescue Henry on 'Once Upon a Time'?

Cruella will get the focus in the next episode of Once Upon a Time, aptly titled Sympathy for the De Vil. Smurfit spoke with Cosmopolitan this week about her character and how fans will see what she is truly looking for in her happy ending.

"Well, for Cruella, as long as she's got her furs, darling! But you will find out exactly what she's been after," Smurfit said, discussing Cruella's ultimate happy ending. "She's had an agenda that up until now nobody's known about. She has a backstory with the Author, played by the delicious Patrick Fischler. I spent a lot of the episode working with him. He holds something quite real and serious over Cruella, and her happiness is in getting that back from him."

Will Robin's Lion Tattoo Origin Be Revealed on 'Once Upon a Time'?

As noted in the press release for the episode, Cruella winds up stealing Henry (Jared Gilmore), causing Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) much alarm.

On a more frivolous note, Smurfit also discussed the recent trend among OUAT fans who want to see Cruella and Ursula (Merrin Dungey) in a relationship.

"This is the Sea Devil!" she said of the shippers. "Yes, I've heard about this. I've seen some of it on Twitter. A lot of people seem to really like their dastardly duo elements . . . Listen, I think whatever makes anybody happy. To me it just says that they like how we work together. I love that. Merrin in real life is one of my greatest friends. She's a sister from another mister. I love that they enjoy us together, because we laugh a lot. There's a crazy amount of laughing in and amongst evil."

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
