The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer leaked on Thursday, just hours after director Zack Snyder teased a special IMAX screening of the teaser for Monday, April 20.

'Batman v Superman' Will Be More Realistic Than Marvel Movies?

The trailer was officially leaked late Thursday on various torrent sites. Watch it while you can here:

While the new trailer does not tell us much, it does at least offer a taste at the general feeling of the film. It's looking like Batman v Superman will be just as dark if not darker than previous DC films that came before it, including Man of Steel and The Dark Knight trilogy.

'Batman vs Superman' Teaser Screenings Selling Out Already

The focus of the trailer appears to be Superman's destruction on Earth over anything else, at least from the various sound bites that are heard throughout the trailer.

"Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely," says a voice that sounds distinctly like Holly Hunter. She will be playing a yet-to-be-announced character in the film.

She also says, "The world has been so caught up with what he can do, that no-one has asked what he should do."

Other voices say, "Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?" and "Devils don't come from hell beneath us, they come from the sky."

Then another voice that sounds like Jeremy Irons (playing Alfred in the film) wisely says, "That's how it starts, the fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness, that turns good men cruel."

The trailer features many obscure shots of Superman and Batman (Ben Affleck) alongside lots of stylized imagery, including one interesting shot of a Superman statue graffitied with the words "False God."

"Tell me, do you bleed?" Batman asks Superman, with Affleck sporting a deep gravelly voice in the same vein as Christian Bale. "You will."

Reaction to the new trailer has been mixed overall, especially compared to that of the near universal excitement over the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
