Derek Hough has received his official diagnosis after suffering many injuries on Monday, leaving his future with this season of Dancing With the Stars in question.

Hough was injured in multiple places on Monday, six weeks into the competition on Dancing With the Stars. He received a diagnosis from the doctor on Wednesday, and it's not looking good.

"Derek Hough suffered injuries to his right foot and left ankle," Hough's spokeswoman told People. "He has been diagnosed with a broken toe on his right foot and sprains to his left ankle on both the inside and outside aspects and a bone bruise on the same ankle. Derek will remain in Los Angeles this week to rehab his injuries."

Derek Hough May Have To Sit Out Of The Rest Of 'Dancing With the Stars'

Hough had previously said in his TVGuide.com blog that he was not able to rehearse Monday's team dance until that day, which may have contributed to his injury. Perhaps the pro dancer was trying to rehearse the moves too quickly and wound up injuring himself in the process.

He has been traveling back and forth all season, competing on Dancing With the Stars in Los Angeles while simultaneously being the male lead in the New York Spring Spectacular in New York.

In the mean time, Hough's celebrity partner Nastia Liukin will be rehearsing with Sasha Farber, heading into next Monday's show.

"While it remains unclear at this time if Derek will be able to perform on April 27 episode, his partner Nastia Liukin will train in Los Angeles this week with pro-dancer Sasha Farber to prepare for the live show," the spokeswoman said.

Hough's status may still be up in the air until Sunday or Monday, and even then it might be pushing it.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
