It's not often that someone survives having a truck run over their heads, but one reality star survived.

Brittany Taltos was severely injured over the weekend when a pickup truck ran her over.

At the time of the incident, the 23-year-old who has appeared on "Jersey Shore" and "Bachelor Pad," was sunbathing in the front yard of her Gainesville, Fla. home, according to the Huffington Post.

The reality star was catching some sun with her twin sister when a friend decided to retrieve a cooler with a truck. Taltos was relaxing with her headphones on and didn't hear the oncoming pickup truck driving on the lawn. Her relaxation quickly ceased when she realized her face was being crushed by a large tire.

"I woke up with half a tire on my face," said Taltos as reported by the Independent Florida Alligator. "I thought I was going to die."

The incident caused blood to seep from her ear from the high pressure of the tire. Apparently Taltos was pushed into the ground partly which created a "noticeable depression in the lawn" according to responding fire fighters.

Emergency medical services were called and Taltos was taken to the hospital.

Taltos had bruises covering her face, cuts on her head, damage inside her ear canal and received 15 stitches.

"They told me 'You basically dodged a bullet,'" Taltos said as doctors told her she managed not to have any brain damage or other serious problems.

"It was very fortunate she was on softer ground where this occurred," said fire fighter Lt. Tracey Hidgon. "The injuries may have been much worse, if not fatal."

Taltos and her twin sister Erica appeared on Season 4 of the "Jersey Shore," which was filmed in Italy. During the show, both twins started dating Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.
