Donald Trump has become a Twitter laughingstock after delivering the 'major news' as promised at noon today. In the days prior, the billionaire had built up the hype of a major announcement on President Barack Obama. Many speculated that the 'major news' would be possible divorce papers filed by Barack and Michelle Obama.

However, the announcement was far from the divorce papers.
Trump, a renowned Republican who is Team Romney announced on Twitter and Facebook at 12 p.m. EST. that he will give $5 million to a charity of the President's choice if he provides his college records, transcripts and passports to prove he was born in America.
Trump says in the video he provided that writing the check is something that would make "a lot of people will very, very happy to see happen." Trump himself wants to write the check "very, very much".
Trump's press release and transcript of the video is available on his Facebook page.
However, his announcement has garnered more 'dislikes' than 'likes'. It received over 15,000 dislikes and 7,000 likes.

"The check will be given immediately after he releases the records so stated, or causes said records to be released. If he chooses to do this, he will be doing a great service not only to the charity, but also a great service to the country and indeed, himself."
"If he releases these records, it will end the question, and indeed the anger, of many Americans," Trump added. He then closes with a deadline for his request: "The records must be given by October 31st at 5 p.m. in the afternoon."
