In the finale of season 3 Oliver and Felicity are seen driving into the sunset by a beautiful coast, and when Amell was asked if this meant "Oliver and Felicity forever," his response was in the affirmative, but he quickly took a U-turn, saracastically suggesting that things could go awry as is known to happen often on the show.

"I think that's the plan," he said. "And as we know, on our show nothing bad ever happens when people are super happy."

Amell also revealed that he knew that Felicity and Oliver would have a happy ending in season 3 since the finale of season 2.

"They had a real plan this year, I didn't know I was going to die in the middle of the season but I knew that that was the plan," he said. "I think it's a real cool opportunity for our show to transition toward something else, no pun intended."

Amell went on to state that he had no idea about how season 4 was going to pan out, adding that he knew the whole flashback story, but that was the extent of his knowledge relating to the chapter.
