Socha has reportedly been demoted from his series regular status on Once Upon a Time, according to a new report by TVLine. The report says that while Socha will no longer be part of the show's main cast, this doesn't mean that Will is gone forever.

Socha first appeared as Will Scarlett in ABC's spinoff series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland before joining the series in season 4.

Robin Hood & Zelena Receive Big Promotions for 'Once Upon a Time' Season 5

This news comes just as it was announced that two recurring guest stars would be joining the cast as series regulars in season 5. Longtime guest Sean Maguire, who plays Robin Hood, will be part of the main cast in season 5 as well as Rebecca Mader, who plays the villainous Zelena.

The fifth season will also see the introduction of three new characters from medieval times. Once Upon a Time producers are looking to cast for King Arthur, Guinevere and Merlin ahead of season 5. As fans learned, Merlin is the only one who can rid the darkness from Emma (Jennifer Morrison), who unfortunately took a turn to the dark side in the season 4 finale.

In other OUAT news, ABC finally released an official premiere date for season 5. The season 5 premiere of Once Upon a Time will be Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
