"Twi-hards" can rejoice as the moment they have been waiting for has finally arrived.

The "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2" red carpet premiere will take place in Los Angeles tonight, and it will give fans who have camped overnight for several days the moment they've dreamed about for months.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will delight their fans since their reconciliation, they will wow the crowd with their first public display of affection - a smooch on the lips.

"Rob and Kristen will kiss on the red carpet during the pictures phase of the Breaking Dawn Part 2 carpet," a source told Hollywood Life.

"It's currently a plan for them to do it and the only way Rob and Kristen won't do it is if Kristen chickens out," the source added. "Rob is 100% for it, but Kristen has had reservations to do it in fear of embarrassment. She feels like it would be awkward to do it for show. Summit introduced the idea to both of them and they are currently going to run with it."

The public kiss will further confirm reports that they are indeed back together again. It seems Summit, the film company behind the "Twilight" franchise, wanted to savor the couple's intimate moment for their fans at the release of the film's final installment.

At present, there is a city of tents just outside the theater that will screen the premiere.

According to several reports, over 2,000 fans flew in from all over the world to camp out for several days for the special day.

"Twi-hards" registered online for a chance to spend the weekend in front of Staples Center just across from L.A. Live plaza where the red carpet event will take place.

Summit provided enough entertainment to help the time pass by for the fans as they were treated to three days of "Twilight" screenings and activities as well as a chance to see the film's stars arrive on the red carpet.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, "Twilight Saga" stars Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone made an appearance; Reed performed her "Part 2" soundtrack song with her husband Paul McDonald.

The "Twilight" movie franchise so far, has made more than $2.5 billion combined at box offices worldwide.

The final film's plot centers on newlyweds Bella (playes Stewart), Edward (played by Pattinson) and their daughter who are threatened by an ancient vampire coven.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" opens in several European countries on Wednesday, Nov. 14 and arrives in U.S. theaters at midnight on Friday, Nov. 16.
