We're going to meet Rumplestiltskin's (Robert Carlyle) mother in an upcoming episode of ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Michael Socha No Longer Part of Main Cast of 'Once Upon a Time'

Rumple's mom Evanna will be introduced in season 5 of Once Upon a Time, according to a new TVLine report. She will be present in flashbacks, so OUAT producers are looking for an actress in her late 20s or early 30s.

The report says that Evanna will be "stunningly beautiful" and "plucky, strong and imbued with an unshakeable sense of self-confidence." She is described as more noble than Rumple despite occasionally acting before she thinks about what she's doing.

Evanna will also apparently have a Scottish accent, since the role calls for an actress who can convincingly pull one off. Of course, a Scottish actress would certainly make things easier.

There is no indication that Evanna will be a recurring character on the fantasy series, as the TVLine report says she is just being cast for one early episode in season 5.

The ensemble of Once Upon a Time is already large enough, and it's actually about to get even bigger. Producers are looking to cast three new characters - Merlin, King Arthur and Guinevere. As we learned in season 4, Merlin is the only person who can potentially rid the darkness from Emma (Jennifer Morrison).

Casting for these three roles, which will be recurring, is currently underway.

Once Upon a Time season 5 is set to premiere on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
