It was a close call for Eva Mendes earlier this week after she accidentally drove the wrong way on a one-way street in Beverly Hills.

The new mom, actress and fashion designer appeared to have gotten a bit distracted while driving around in the area, nearly causing a collision after turning the wrong direction on North Bedford Drive, a one-way street near Rodeo, after she seems to have failed to see two 'Do Not Enter' signs posted at the end of the road.

However, after realizing her error, Mendes quickly corrected the situation, turning into a parking garage and successfully avoided a near head-on collision.

Mendes was riding solo in the car, and it is unclear what exactly distracted her and caused her to turn the wrong way up the road.

Though she wasn't likely looking at her phone while driving, had she been. her distraction may have easily been explained by a tweet about her beau, Ryan Gosling, that was written by none other than Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds had a hilarious response yesterday to a tweet sent by a fan who said they weren't sure what the big difference was between he and Gosling (both actors are originally from Canada)--one that surely would have distracted anyone reading it.

"I honestly don't know the difference between Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds," the fan wrote.

"Different hair colors. Ryan Gosling has light BLOND hair. And Ryan Reynolds is a c--t," Reynolds replied.
