He made a decision about his son's mother that he knew wouldn't sit well with his uncle, forcing Brady (Eric Martsolf) to give Victor (John Aniston) an ultimatum about leaving Theresa (Jen Lilley) alone while she temporarily resides at the Kiriakis mansion on Days of Our Lives.

Theresa Comes Between Brady & Melanie

After overhearing Theresa voice her concerns about being a single mother and alone, Brady decided that despite their past history and Theresa's recent scheme to keep Tate away from him had he married Melanie (Molly Burnett), Brady felt some compassion for his former flame. As a result, he made her an offer that once their son came home from the hospital, she could move into the mansion with him for a few days as she got used to elements of motherhood, before she eventually went off on her own.

However, the last person Victor will want living in his mansion is Theresa the terrible, who happens to be Kim's daughter--and when he sees her there and hears her saying to her son that she is going to stay with him, he became enraged that she was now there. Now, Brady will step in to defend her, and his decision to let her be there for a little while, and will warn Victor in the process to just accept things as they are.

Brady & Melanie Share An Emotional Goodbye

However, that move may also give Theresa ideas of how she can still manipulate things in her favor. She has wanted nothing more than to have Brady back, especially since realizing their son was out there. She successfully managed to get Melanie to leave town altogether, and now that Brady not only offered to let her live with him, but defended her against his Uncle Victor, she will continue trying to think of ways to not only secure herself a place at the mansion on a more permanent basis--but a way back into Brady's heart as well.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
