Fulham (4-3-4) will look to continue their five-game unbeaten streak when they host Sunderland in a Premier League matchup on Sunday.  Fulham heads into the game at Craven College in ninth place in the league table.  Overall this season, the football club has put up 24 goals while giving up 19.  Sunderland (1-3-6) currently finds themselves in 16th place.  The team has scored a mere seven goals and have allowed 11.

Fulham skipper Martin Jol will most likely be without the services of Kieran Richardson.  The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury in the club's 3-3 draw against Arsenal last weekend.  Simon Davies (hip injury) and Chris Baird (suspension) will also be out of the lineup for the team.

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neil also has some modifications of his own to make.  Striker Steven Fletcher is on the shelf with a calf injury while goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, who is currently hindered with a thigh problem, may be out as well. If Westwood can't make it between the posts for today's game then Simon Mignolet should get the nod in goal while Jordan Pickford backs him up.

Despite Sunderland's ailments, O'Neil still feels optimistic about his club's progress, according to A Different League.

"I think that the talented players we possess at the football club are beginning to show the form that we know they're capable of and that's very encouraging," he said.

Progression aside, the club must bring a solid attack in order to stay in the game against Fulham.  If their offensive doesn't perform effectively, then they could very well see themselves with yet another loss.
