Sherlock's fourth season will "sucker punch you into emotional devastation."

Well, that's the series, isn't it? It wouldn't be Steven Moffat's Sherlock without a crushing tide of feels, and that's just the way we like it. A new clip for the Victorian Special, however, left San Diego Comic-Con's Ballroom 20 rolling in laughter.

The BBC series will toss its iPhone toting detective back to his proper era some time in the next year - Moffat was loath to nail down a timeline - and the shake up will showcase Holmes' (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson's (Martin Freeman) penchant for witty banter. It's Mrs. Hudson, however, who steals that scene when she takes Watson to task for his recent writings, informing him that she's his "landlady, not a plot device."

Unfortunately, the Victorian Special will have to tide fans over for quite some time. Sherlock is known for it's short seasons and unbearably long hiatuses, but it seems season 4 is currently nothing more than a pinprick on the horizon.

"It's been very like Doctor Who because that's what I've been writing," Moffat joked when asked for a progress report. "We haven't started writing...[but] we know what stories were writing - emotionally draining, you'll never stop crying."
