Scorpion is done teasing Waige - it's time to put all that sexual tension to work.

CBS's resident geniuses will return this fall, and Walter O'Brien will have to deal with the lovestruck "gorilla in the room." Team Scorpion's leader made heart eyes at Paige all through season 1, and now it seems the pair are on the cusp of romance.

"I think that the one thing we're trying to acknowledge [is] we had a lot of tease last year, and what we'd like to do is acknowledge the gorilla in the room and then see how it complicates their lives," executive producer Nicholas Wootton explained, according to Give Me My Remote.

That doesn't mean season 2 will be smooth sailing for the good 'ship Waige. Tumultuous seas lay ahead, and, as viewers have seen, rogue waves could send Happy, Toby, and Sylvester into the water as well.

"I think to say they were going to have a perfect, loving relationship that is going to last [starting immediately], that's not going to happen," Wooton teased. "I think given his level of emotional maturity, even the concept of admitting, 'I even like you' is a long jump for him. But I think we both know how they feel, let's admit how they feel, and see how it reverberates though the team."
