The Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 JellyBean update has been rumored to have its official release date soon, with screenshots of the latest firmware appearing on the Internet earlier this week.

The exciting new software is currently having tests performed on it to check that the roll out is smooth for the Samsung Galaxy S3 device. However, rumors suggest that the latest tests are reasonably stable and almost ready for launch.

The official release could happen sometime in the coming weeks, with many sources claiming it will be rolled out before the end of the year for sure. The Android 4.1.2 will include a new Multi-view feature that is already currently available on the Galaxy Note 2, and will bring that technology over to the Galaxy S3.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean was released for Sprint users at the start of the month, and was made available to T-Mobile users just last week. However, many users have still complained that they are yet to receive the notification message allowing them to upgrade their software. For those who want to force install the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on their Samsung Galaxy S3's there are instructions contained here.

The update brings improvements to the software including Google Now, and Project Butter that improves the frame rate and performance of the handset, allowing visuals and transitions to be much smoother.

Meanwhile, Sprint has attempted to stay ahead of the competition this Thanksgiving by driving its prices down for a quick fire sale on Black Friday.
