A star from a popular Netflix series is interested in landing a role on British drama Call the Midwife.

'Call The Midwife' Has 'Power' To Raise Medical Awareness?

On Friday, The List discovered that Kate Mulgrew from the Internet series Orange is the New Black would be stoked if she were to appear on Midwife since she's a huge fan.

"You know what I'd love to do? I'd love to do Call the Midwife. I love Call the Midwife," the actress, who plays Red on the prison drama, revealed. "I want you to put it out there, I want to play the Irish nun who comes in and wreaks havoc."

Upcoming Episodes Of 'Call The Midwife' Are Going To Be 'Emotional'

The site pointed out that it seems pretty doubtful Mulgrew would show up on the heartfelt PBS series since she's been working hard on Orange. As she films the fourth season, she pointed out that she can't give any spoilers away either.

"The unexpected awaits as it always does at the pen of [show writer] Jenji Kohan who is brilliant," Mulgrew said. "So, just when you think you're on top, something slips. There'll be a trap door effect. But I'm not going to give you spoilers because we were warned that we'd be beheaded if we do that."

The fifth season of Call the Midwife remains a mystery as well, but based on what Stephen McGann (Patrick Turner) posted on Twitter last May, fans will want to grab a box of tissues.

Call the Midwife Season 5 is expected to premiere in the United States this December on PBS.
