NCIS always has familiar faces popping up from previous seasons!

Will 'NCIS' Season 13's Premiere Episode Bring The Team Back To America?

It looks like Kent Shockneck will be reprising his role on the CBS series as a reporter.

The funny thing is Shockneck is a reporter in real-life and has appeared on various TV shows to portray reporters over the years, including the NCIS spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles.

Michael Weatherly Recently Tweeted About Reading The First Script Of 'NCIS' Season 13!

Shocknek first appeared on NCIS in its first season. He returned again for an episode each in season 3 and season 6. Then in season 7 he appeared in two episodes.

Just last season he returned for the episode called House Rules and now he's back on set for season 13's premiere episode.

Pauley Perrette, who portrays Abby Sciuto, snapped a photo with him on Thursday.

"We had our real news reporter playing our ‪#NCIS reporter again," she shared.

With that being said it is probably safe to assume he'll be reporting on the terrorist attack in Iraq, in which Gibbs (Mark Harmon) was shot.

That aside, Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo on the series) tweeted a picture, in which he looks like he's on location.

"[B]ack in action..." he tweeted along with the image.

It can be speculated that the team will return to America in the premiere episode since previous photos of the team have been shared by the cast in the morgue and in NCIS HQ by their characters' desks.

NCIS returns to CBS in the fall on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
