Agents of SHIELD will jump into the future as season 3 begins.

'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 3: Inhumans Influx Coming; Can Coulson Deal With The Fish Oil Pills?

The ABC/Marvel drama will take advantage of the series' three summer hiatus and mirror the time change in it's own universe, according to Entertainment Weekly.

So, what will Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team be up to three months after the Inhuman's battle? Well, for one thing, Simmons will apparently be missing for far longer than anyone would have expected. For another, Secret Warriors (or Caterpillar as Coulson dubbed Skye's (Chloe Bennet) new project) will already be in motion.

To get fans ready for the upcoming arc, Gregg dolled out some hints at San Diego Comic-Con.

"I'm familiar with Secret Warriors in the comics, but as iterated on our show and in the TV and cinematic world, it's a different thing. It's slightly new; it involves some of the people that we have. We are doing a version of it on Agents of SHIELD," Gregg cautioned, according to TV Equals.

In other words, don't expect a straight up replay of the comic book storyline. It's Marvel, so we were expecting a twist to begin with anyway.

"That means we are going to try and gather people like Skye on a very, very top secret team," Gregg teased. "I have a feeling, once again, Coulson will be wrangling some very special people and that can really go wrong, [but] something that can really go right."
