NCIS: Los Angeles will give Deeks and Kensi a work out in season 7.

The CBS drama began filming on Friday, and both Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) spent the day running around Playa Del Rey (see photo below).

"Day one: #NCISLA Crew: Rolling hard. Kensi: Running hard. Deeks: Slamming into the beach Hard," Olsen tweeted on Friday. "Something's never change."

It appears the partners will be working a cover in episode 701 (airing order unconfirmed), much like their bike scene from "Blaze of Glory" (see video below). This time, however, Deeks will be unseated from his ride as Kensi jogs by.

"Sneak peek at E701. Writ[ten] By [R. Scott] Gemmill," director John Peter Kousakis previously teased. "Always exciting and full of laughs & twists."

The season 6 finale left viewers without a life or death cliffhanger, an unusual situation for NCIS: LA fans. There are some lingering questions, however. Hopefully the fall run will dive into Deeks' problems with the LAPD and give viewers another look at the man who may be Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) father.

Catch NCIS: LA when the series returns to CBS on Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET.
