Agents of SHIELD's Coulson will have a new nemesis when season 3 opens.

'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 3: Major Recurring Role Added, What 'Intimidating' Character Will Andrew Howard Play?

Last season, SHIELD's newest director managed to sway General Talbot (Adrian Pasdar) to his side, but the military isn't the only government agency that wants to throw roadblocks in Coulson's (Clark Gregg) way. Gregg's character will go "toe to toe" with Constance Zimmer's unnamed antagonist.

The UnREAL villain will get mixed up with the new influx of Inhumans, and not in a good way.

"[Zimmer] will play the head of a mysterious new government agency that will cross paths with S.H.I.E.L.D. as both seek out new Inhumans following the events of last season," Entertainment Weekly announced on Thursday.

Viewers won't have to wait long to meet SHIELD's latest problem. Zimmer will pop up in the season 3 premiere, which will take place a few months after the fall of Jiaying and the production of the tainted fish oil pills. With an unknown number of unsuspecting Inhumans about to undergo Terrigenesis, Gregg and Zimmer's characters will certainly have their hands full.
