While there has been some great personal news for some of the cast members of Law & Order: SVU, there have been concerns about how these developments might affect season 17.

Serial Killer Greg Yates To Return In Season 17 Premiere

Three of the cast members of the NBC procedural are expecting children and the news has been cause for great celebration within the Law & Order family. But reports speculate if the premiere for the next chapter might be pushed back on this account, as the three pivotal cast members might need some more time off. And it seems like fans don't have anything to worry about, as no official news has come out on that front.

Peter Scanvino, who plays Dominic Carisi Jr., Kelli Giddish, who portrays Amanda Rollins, and Ice-T, who plays the part of Odafin Tutuola, have babies on the way. Showrunner Warren Leight has been reporting the happy news via his Twitter account and also joked about how Law & Order: SVU was the most "fertile show on earth."

Will Nick Amaro Return In Season 17?

"Here's another one of his funnies on the situation: Special Diaper Unit, Law and Ovary, Pregnant and Seventeen ... What else you got?"

We wonder if any of this baby cheer will spill over into the show, which is definitely not very conducive to it, but perhaps weave in the family orientation into the personal lives of the characters?

Leight hasn't said anything about actually taking inspiration from his cast members parenthood, but he might find someway of entertaining the idea.

Season 17 of Law & Order: SVU will premiere on Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. (ET).

The finale for season 16 of Law and Order SVU aired on May 20.
