Angela Raiola's (AKA Big Ang) husband, Neil Murphy, is still out to clear his name after it was reported that he and the late VH1 Mob Wives star were estranged when she died last month.

“I was there to the end,” he told Entertainment Tonight this week, contrary to speculation that he was not a good support system for her. He went on to add how he stood by Big Ang in her final days as she battled cancer.

“I never left her side. I went to every procedure—even though she didn’t want me, I went. I was there at the hospital for the last two days with her. I mean, to me, we weren’t ‘estranged.’”

He also countered Big Ang’s claims that the two were “estranged” after an allegedly messy split.

“She didn’t want me there [at times],” he continued. “I didn’t want to argue with a sick person.”

Still, he made it clear he showed his support and love for Big Ang before it was too late.

“I was on the phone with her every day. I talked to her before chemo, after chemo. When she had a couple of procedures done, she was in the hospital for a day, I was there. So I wouldn’t call it estranged.”

Still, he did say that Big Ang definitely “went through a rough time” and often blamed Murphy.

“I wasn’t going to fight with her. I didn’t walk away…I was there. We had a lot of good times together. It was a crazy life at the end, you know. We were regular people, then she became a celebrity. It was kind of crazy being married to her, but it was good. I would never change anything.”

Murphy also attended Big Ang’s funeral that took place in Brooklyn on Feb. 22.
