Following the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star's arrest, her second this year, Monty Brinson spoke out, claiming his troubled former wife was a "giver," not a taker.

"I couldn't imagine Kim stealing or shoplifting anything. She is a giver," Brinson told Entertainment Tonight. "I am in complete shock. Richards was first arrested earlier this year at the Beverly Hills Hotel after becoming intoxicated at the facility's restaurant, the Polo Lounge. At the time, she was charged with public intoxication, resisting an officer, battery on an officer and trespassing.

Then, on Sunday, Richards was placed under citizen’s arrest and spent a night in jail. According to the Van Nuys Police Department, the arrest was made by a Target lost prevention officer after she allegedly stole a cart full of toys and merchandise valued at $1,000. The police department claimed Richards had three carts in total, but was only charged for the items placed into her vehicle.

Richards was booked on Sunday evening at the Valley Jail in Van Nuys, California, and released the following day after posting $5,000 bail.
