Access Hollywood recently caught up with Ludacris on the red carpet of the Teen Choice Awards.

Jason Statham Confirms Return For Fast and Furious 8 

The actor dedicated hosting the awards to his daughter for her birthday. She was present at the event with him. In the interview with the entertainment publication, Ludacris reveald that he was very much part of Fast and Furious 8 and that filming would begin next year.

"Furious 8 is happening, we start shooting next year, and it comes out April of 2017 so far," he said.

When asked if he was excited to get back on set, Ludacris pointed to his daughter standing right by him, saying that he was "excited to continue making her proud and putting food on the table."

At the same awards ceremony, Vin Diesel, also dished some about the Furious 7 sequel, while accepting the win for Choice Action/Adventure movie for Furious 7.

While thanking the fans and remembering Paul Walker, Diesel let slip what could be an important detail about the sequel to Furious 7. He referred to the upcoming eighth installment of the series as Fast 8. This could very well be the official title of the next film, following Furious 7's great success.

Diesel dedicated the award to Walker's memory, and the fact that he was family to all of them. 

"I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about somebody very, very, very important to us. One of the best blessings in our lives is the fact that we had the opportunity to call Pablo our brother. Paul Walker is here in spirit with us."

And while signing off, the actor called the sequel Fast 8: "I love all of you. I love all of you, and until Fast 8..."
