Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence writing a screenplay together seems the most surprising pairing-up this year, and the film is sure going to be a doozy.

While promoting her upcoming movie Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 in an interview with the New York Times, Lawrence let slip that she had a very exciting project in the pipeline. The actress revealed that she was working on a screenplay with Schumer for a film in which they are going to be playing sisters.

"We play sisters," Lawrence said. "We're almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We've got about 100 pages right now."

Lawrence also spoke about how their very different personalities enriched the creative process.

"Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It's been the most fun experience of my life," she said. "We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I'm flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago. We'll write a little bit with her sister, Kim, who worked with Amy when she was writing Trainwreck."

This would definitely be a spectacular follow-up to Trainwreck for Schumer, and seems like Lawrence is her new BFF.

Could this duo be the new -- rather unlikely -- comedic heir to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler?
