Miley Cyrus might have been the talk of the town during the MTV Video Music Awards two years ago for her controversial on-stage twerking with Robin Thicke, and now the star herself says she actually got a lot of compliments for her performance that night. The chart topper says she ended up getting calls from Kim Kardashian's husband Kanye West and 2015 Presidential candidate Donald Trump.

According to Naughty Gossip on Friday, Cyrus opened up about the controversy in an interview with the New York Times and said that despite the backlash, a lot of people were actually very impressed with her on-stage antics.

She said, "I was in the studio with Kanye that night, and we watched it back and we didn't say anything. He was like, 'That was sick,' whatever. We woke up the next day, and he was like, 'Whoa.' He called and said, 'Turn on your TV.'"

She added, "I was staying at the Trump Hotel and Donald Trump literally called and said, basically, 'I know everyone's talking about it, but I loved it.' I had no idea anyone was talking about it yet."

Meanwhile, there's a new report that suggest Kim Kardashian can easily beat Trump if she decided to run for President.

According to the Huffington Post on Monday, writer Cody Cain thinks the only way Trump can be "trumped" is if Kardashian herself joins the race to the White House.

He wrote, "Kim is far more qualified to be president than Trump. She is way more famous. Her reality TV show was far better than Trump's. And Kim has 35 million followers on Twitter compared to Trump's paltry four million followers. It's not even close."

Cain added, "Trump versus Kim will be the greatest spectacle of our time. The news networks will achieve record ratings and, of course, record profits. It will be the greatest reality TV show ever."
