A.V. Club reported that Clinton's curiosity about The Good Wife has been reaffirmed as in one of her emails she requests her aide to lookup the air times for the CBS legal drama.

But this is not exactly news as Clinton had previously made this fact known in an interview citing The Good Wife as one of her favorite television shows.

What makes things even more interesting is the fact that season 7 of The Good Wife is going meta as Clinton is getting a fictional opponent.

In an interview with TVLine, King revealed that Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) will not only be running for the presidential race, but he will be going up against Hillary Clinton! This one's going to be a real doozy for fans and political show fanatics alike. Peter will be fighting Clinton for the Democratic nomination.

"If Peter runs, he is running against Hillary," he told the publication. Adding that it is "amazing" that CBS is "letting us do that."

In fact the show is going to follow the real life campaign toe to toe. King revealed that as the Iowa Caucus takes place, it is going to be portrayed on the show, aligned with the timeline.

"We're trying to parallel what's happening on our show with what's happening in reality," he said.

King is well aware of the challenges such an ambitious storyline poses, and how they will have to rely on a lot of educated guesses. Given the nature of volatlity of the politics, King is a touch nervous.

"The difficult thing for us is we started writing these scripts in June, so you're always kind of guessing where things are going," King said. "And we're stunned in politics how things change overnight. We're not sure if Biden will enter the race at this point. We have the ability to ADR some lines in if that's necessary, but we're kind of playing the betting game at this point."

Season 7 is set to premiere on CBS on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m.

The season 6 finale, entitled 'Wanna Partner?' aired on CBS on May 10.
