We finally have some updates on the development of Wonder Woman, courtesy producer Deborah Snyder.

In a recent discussion Snyder revealed that work on the feminist action flick is set to begin in Fall 2015 with principal photography. Snyder spoke about the film at the Geena Davis Institute, stating that they were looking for a female director for the film. Galactic Squid has the scoop from the event.

"We still wanted a female director and we found Patty Jenkins, who had the right vision and the same vision that we had for the character. We're really happy that we're going to be going into production in November, it's been a really great process. We've tried to hire as many female members of the crew as possible."

So far we only know that Gal Gadot will be playing the part of Diana Price in the movie. The actress will be fresh off her debut in Batman vs. Superman. It has also been rumored that Chris Pine will be portraying the part of Steve Trevor.

As news of the film broke last year, The Hollywood Reporter reported that a number of female directors were being considered to take over the Wonder Woman movie that is planned for 2017.

Here is the list of women rumored to be in the running: Kathryn Bigelow and Catherine Hardwicke with other rumored names such as Mimi Leder, Michelle MacLaren, Lexi Alexander and possibly Angelina Jolie.

Wonder Woman is expected to release on June 23, 2017.
