Safaree Samuels is still clapping at his Nicki Minaj nearly a year after the exes went public with their split.

Samuels took to Twitter to thank K. Michelle for not only featuring him on her album, but giving him the writer’s credit for the song[s] he penned. Apparently Nicki didn’t do him that justice based on his previous claims that he was the brains behind many of her successful hits.

So he threw a little subliminal shade her way on social media Thursday.

He wrote, “Thanks @kmichelle for letting me be a part of your album and actually getting [publishing] and writing credit 4my lyrics. Im not use to that!!”

His comment comes after he has dissed Nicki in a number of songs and said he wrote lots of her music without getting any credit for it. K. Michelle has not responded yet. But many fans did with their thoughts on Samuels’ shot toward Nicki. One called on Bravo executive Andy Cohen for help to confirm that it was “shade.”

While another told Samuels to “shut up.”

A third used a hilarious gif of The View co-host Raven Symone from back in her Disney That’s So Raven days giving a major side eye.

Samuels and Nicki were an item for nearly 15 years before calling it quits. While they never really went public with their relationship until it was over, they both shared their sides of the split with the media. Since then, Samuels has been linked to K. Michelle and recently split with a makeup artist Zashia Santiago while Nicki is still going strong with rapper Meek Mill.
