Nicki and Samuels dated for more than 10 years before going public with their breakup around this time last year. Shortly after, she was dating Meek.

Now, after social media beefs and dissing her in songs from his mixtapes, Samuels, who has been working to launch his own rap career outside of Nicki’s shadow, has updated fans on whether they have spoken.

Safaree Samuels Says Meek Mill Took Nicki Minaj From Him ‘Some Things You Don’t Do’

All Hip Hop caught up with Samuels recently and he said, “Absolutely not,” when asked if he and Nicki have spoken. Word is he plans on suing his ex for royalties on the work he did for some of her most successful albums and singles throughout her career. “I can’t even remember the last time we spoke or had any type of interaction.”

Since they split, Samuels has never been one to stay quiet about what went down during him and Nicki’s relationship. In his latest song Love The Most he calls out Nicki for getting too close to other rappers, including Meek.

Thanks to fans, he decided to put the song on his mixtape, It Is What It Is Vol. 2.

“It was hard to do. I don’t want to sound sappy, but it was really hard to do that. I wrote it and was like, ‘Okay, cool…’ but then when I started saying it… I had to stop and sit out of the [recording] booth for like two hours and redo it.”
