The intensity of emotions is ramping up in Genoa City next week on The Young and the Restless!

Ian Ward Will Have Genoa City 'In Turmoil' On 'The Young and the Restless' With Gabriel/Adam's Help?

Ever since the storyline involving Marco (Peter Bergman) began things are been kicked up a notch and even with Marco out of Genoa City presently things have not gone back to how they once were.

The Newmans and Abbotts are even more so at each other's throats and someone or multiple parties will wind up burned in some way.

Will Marisa's Romance With Noah On 'The Young and the Restless' Last?

The Young and the Restless Twitter revealed Friday night that in next week's worth of episodes the drama would only worsen as "a war is reignited."

In the teaser trailer for next week's episodes that's below, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is seen talking to Gabriel/Adam (Justin Hartley) about how someone is "trying to take down Victor [Eric Braeden]," which means everyone is in danger. She knows they're all going to get hurt.

More information on the Paragon Project will be revealed thanks to Kevin (Greg Rikaart). In a clip he shares "it's a super virus." That definitely doesn't sound good for the constantly fighting families since both companies can lose a lot.

Members from both families are seen in various clips talking about what's been happening since the Paragon Project's wrath was released, but they are still mostly unaware of what's happening. Then Jack (also portrayed by Bergman) is seen with Ashley (Eileen Davidson) declaring, "You reignited a war with Victor!"

Ashley doesn't care though. She's ready to take Victor on.

Things are definitely getting out of hand though between the dueling families and aside from that Marisa (Sofia Pernas) seems to meet her breaking point since she is seen freaking out at the 0:13 second mark. It's probably an accumulation of her lies about who Luca (Miles Villanueva) really is to her and more.

Also in this wild teaser it looks like Sage (Kelly Sullivan) will fall unconscious so does that mean her unborn baby is in trouble?

Ian Ward (Ray Wise) closes out the trailer as he creepily recites, "It's about to get a lot worse."

Basically the Newmans and Abbotts are screwed in big ways thanks to him.

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
