Fans might want to prepare for the worst in the final season of Downton Abbey.

Which 'Downton Abbey' Star Is 'Not Upset' About Series Ending?

On Sunday, E! News posted details from Joanne Froggatt who plays Anna on the series. As the actress made an appearance at the 2015 Emmy Awards, she gave the impression that something upsetting is going to happen in the final moments of the British drama. But whatever it is, it's still going to be worth watching.

"We can expect all the things that everybody has come to know and love about Downton," Froggatt said. "There's drama, there's intrigue, there's romance, there's a bit of tragedy, not too much...but it's a great final season."

The actress added that all the die-hard viewers will hopefully leave the last scene feeling satisfied.

"I think everyone will be happy with where we leave the characters," she said. "I'm excited to see how it goes down."

In a recent post from Daily Mail, Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith) opened up on how difficult it was for her to stay in high spirits as filming wrapped up.

"It was a night shoot, which we hadn't really done before, so we started filming at like one in the morning and filming till like 6am," Carmichael said. "It was a three-page scene with a lot of lines, so I was just trying to hold it together until the last minute."
