Lady Mary Is Going 'Business Mode' On 'Downton Abbey'

On Sunday, Carter Matt posted details from actress Michelle Dockery's latest interview with Irish Examiner. When Dockery (who plays Lady Mary on the British drama) was asked how she would feel if a feature film based on the series was ever made, she made it clear that she'd be up for it.

"I'd jump at the chance," she said. "It's certainly not something that's been discussed, as far as I know, but I'd imagine it would take very little for everyone to get involved."

'Downton Abbey' Producer Says 'Not Everyone Will Have A Happy Ending'

As for what's going to happen when the sixth season premieres in the United States, that still remains a mystery although the actors have unveiled some teases here and there.

Joanne Froggatt (who plays Anna) attended the 2015 Emmy Awards where she said that the final season will have a good haul of emotions.

"We can expect all the things that everybody has come to know and love about Downton," Froggatt said via E! News. "There's drama, there's intrigue, there's romance, there's a bit of tragedy, not too much...but it's a great final season."

With the way things are about to play out in the final moments, fans can expect to see something worth watching.

"I think everyone will be happy with where we leave the characters," Froggatt said. "I'm excited to see how it goes down."

Downton Abbey Season 6 premieres in the United States on Sunday, January 3 on PBS.
