A behind-the-scenes clip from a day in the life of Aisha Tyler juggling her television gigs between The Talk and her new role on season 11 of Criminal Minds was recently unveiled.

The exclusive clip which was revealed by TVLine not only shows the "workaholic" side of Tyler but shows her on the set of Criminal Minds and showrunner Erica Messer and co-star Thomas Gibson (Hotch) talking her up. The most fascinating transition is to watch Tyler switch roles and appearance between the two shows, highlighted by her moving from her long tresses -- viewers are used to seeing her in on The Talk -- to the short crop for the forensic investigator she plays on the CBS preocedural.

While talking about taking her on Messer suggested that Tyler possessed all the qualities they were looking for. "We wanted somebody who was authoratative but warm and friendly and smart and funny and it is all the things Aisha is naturally," she said.

"There is a great scene at the end of this episode, that she is called on by us because of certain circumstances of this case," he said. "She'll knock it out of the park."

Tyler is also psyched about being on the show.

"I love the show and I've always loved how thoughtful and intellectual it is," Tyler said of Criminal Minds.

Fans also get to see Tyler headed for her first day on Criminal Minds and also about how she pitched the short crop look for her character.

Season 11 will premiere on Sept. 30 on CBS.
