It looks like Kim Kardashian had second thoughts about releasing her sex tapes with Ray J almost a decade ago, even though it helped make her the household name she is today. There's a new report that says the reality television star was initially apprehensive about releasing the tapes, despite having catapulted her into one of the biggest celebrities of the entertainment world.

Apparently, Kardashian fought the release of the tapes with a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment back in 2006.

"All she wanted to do was make the tape go away," writer Sean Smith wrote in a passage obtained by The Sun.

Unfortunately for Kardashian, the tapes were eventually released, but it also helped kick off her career. At the time, she worked as a wardrobe assistant for her then best-friend, Paris Hilton.

"Kim and Ray J received around $300,000 each for the tape and they would also receive a cut from the videos sold or downloaded. Kim duly dropped her lawsuit against Vivid," the source continued. "It just caught fire."

Kim is now married to Kanye West and is expecting her second child with the rapper. There are rumors circulating that her younger sister Kylie Jenner might be releasing her own tape with her rapper boyfriend, Tyga.
