There's a chance that Downton Abbey might get pretty sexy.

Could 'Downton Abbey' Return In 40 Years?

On Saturday, Mirror shared the details from actor Jim Carter (who plays Carson on the show) as he opened up on what might happen if a feature film based on the series gets made following the final episode. If this wish comes true, then Carter is hoping there will be some explicit material with the characters as they experience life in the Swingin' Sixties.

"For the film I think Mr. Carson should invent pole dancing really," the actor said. "I think the public [is] ready for that. We would have Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Patmore of course, and Lady Cora would shake a leg and I think it'd be very popular."

Actress Weighs In On Possible 'Downton Abbey' Movie

Can fans expect Violet Crawley (played by Maggie Smith) to shake her stuff for a lusty client?

"No," Carter admitted. "Dame Maggie just does the one-liners. She's not a physical actress."

There is no official word if the British drama will ever get a movie, but at this point it's at a "very early stage," according to the crew.

Michelle Dockery (who plays Lady Mary) previously revealed that she would love the opportunity to make an appearance in a potential film based on the series.

"I'd jump at the chance," Dockery told Irish Examiner via Carter Matt. "It's certainly not something that's been discussed, as far as I know, but I'd imagine it would take very little for everyone to get involved."

Downton Abbey Season 6 premieres on Sunday, January 3 on PBS.
