Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Donald Trump is dominating the headlines these days with all the off-the-wall remarks he's been making in the Republican Presidential race. The businessman is now explaining why he often insults females in the spotlight because according to him, "women fully get it."

In his latest interview with People Magazine this week, Trump somehow justifies his behavior by being "politically correct." The Presidential hopeful has come under fire for insulting a number of celebrity women for their looks, including Rosie O'Donnell, former supermodel Heidi Klum and most recently, his opponent Carly Fiorina.

Speaking about his "vicious" feud with O'Donnell, he said, "She's a horrible bully. Frankly there was no way that you could deal with that situation. I had no choice unless I wanted to just sit back and be a punching bag and you know that's never been my thing."

Trump also said that when he was talking about Carly Fiorinia's face, he meant her "persona" while backtracking his comments on Klum, saying, "I like Heidi. And Heidi's got a lot of confidence."

Still, Trump insists that what he's doing isn't harmful for the opposite sex and that females in large are his biggest fans.

He explained, "I've become very politically correct recently. I find that women fully get it. They understand me and they understand life and they're very sophisticated, they're very strong and they're great."

Trump, who is married to supermodel Melania Trump, also added that all of the negative press he's been getting lately have inspired him to be a little more cautious with what he says.
