Co-creator Ryan Murphy of FX's "American Horror Story" reportedly tipped off that Wednesday night's installment of the series contained a legitimate clue on what's to come in its future third season.

Before the program hit the air, Murphy's spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the "Name Game" episode and its crystal ball-esque spoiler.

"You really have to be quick and watch. I made sure to put it in there for fans because I know people loved that last year, figuring it out," he explained.

Despite the episode being ridden with alien babies, death and electroshock treatment, there were two situations that could have been future indicators; Sister Mary Eunice playing "I Put A Spell On You" via jukebox and a reference to witchcraft.

The "Name Game" episode also saw the return of Grace (Lizzie Brochere) while Jude (Jessica Lange) was at the receiving end of revenge, being given electroshock treatment by the possessed woman she tormented.

However, the icing on the cake in the episode came with the screeching halt of Dr. Arden's journey.  After being ridiculed by Pepper (Naomi Grossman) and told not to associate with the resurrected Grace, the doctor ended up taking the instructions to heart, putting a gun to his head and strongly considering suicide due to his longing for Sister Mary, who was lost.

Murphy is no stranger to throwing clues out to his viewers ahead of time for "American Horror Story."  He previously revealed information regarding Season 2's plot last year in the eleventh episode titled "Birth."

It was confirmed recently that series star Jessica Lange will indeed return for the third season. Nonetheless, more information regarding the show's future will more than likely unfold at the upcoming Television Critics Association press tour.

"American Horror Story: Asylum" will be returning on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 10 pm on the FX network.
